The endeavor has expanded the church&#8217;s ability to serve its congregation and the broader community for years to come, with the added benefit of reduced carbon emissions. This ceremony and workshop is a great opportunity to learn more about the benefits of solar, meet the individuals and organizations that have made this project a reality, and celebrate Grace\u2019s commitment to caring for the Earth and supporting and empowering residents of Bainbridge Island.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The program will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ribbon Cutting Ceremony (9:00am)<\/strong> with words of acknowledgement from key project partners:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ann New, Grace Senior Warden<\/li>\n<li>Marcia Lagerloef and Dan Rohan<\/li>\n<li>Dave and Krista from Cascadia Solar<\/li>\n<li>Mason Rolph from Olympia Community Solar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Educational workshop (10:00am)<\/strong><br \/>\nKrista Myers and Mason Rolph will provide a presentation featuring information about the project, how solar power works, and how people interested in solar can learn more.<\/p>\n<p>Please RSVP to ensure we have enough refreshments and seating for all attendees. The ceremony will be held on the outside patio, if weather permits. Outdoor seating will be available.<\/p>\n<p>To reach the parking lot, continue down the road after turning off of NE Day Rd, past Island School.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Event Details:<\/strong><br \/>\nSaturday, October 17th 9am-11am<br \/>\nGrace Episcopal Church of Bainbridge Island, Washington<br \/>\n8595 NE Day Rd, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110<\/p>\n<p>The project is funded by a grant from the WA Department of Commerce Clean Energy Community Grants program, which is supported with funding from Washington\u2019s Climate Commitment Act (CCA). The CCA supports Washington\u2019s climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health.
