Mason Rolph serves as the Executive Director of Olympia Community Solar.<\/strong><\/p>

Mason, a graduate of The Evergreen State College, has co-authored publications with both the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and the Smart Electric Power Association (SEPA).\u00a0<\/strong>He received the Sam Garst Climate Champion award by Climate Solutions in 2018, and Emerging Clean Energy Leader award from the Northwest Energy Coalition in 2021. He was elected to the Washington Solar Energy Industry Association Board of Directors in 2022 and 2024.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

Keira Jensen <\/span>is a Program Director for Olympia Community Solar. She earned a BA from Pomona College, before working in conservation and environmental education. \u00a0Keira received her Masters in Environmental Analysis from the Evergreen State College, with a focus in sustainability management and planning at the local level.\u00a0She is dedicated to addressing climate change and building sustainable systems that work better for everyone. Terra Kyer is an intern at Olympia Community Solar. She supports their low-income clean energy development program and the City of Olympia\u2019s SHARE Accelerator program.<\/strong><\/p>

She earned a BA in Urban Planning & Sustainable Development from Western Washington University, one of sixteen undergraduate programs in the nation accredited by the American Planning Association (APA).<\/strong><\/p>

Katrina Taylor serves as the Board Secretary for Olympia Community Solar. She has a Masters in Environmental Policy and is a tenured professor of political science and sustainability at Tacoma Community College. Katrina has studied, taught and\/or published in the fields of renewable energy policy and climate protection advocacy for over 20 years. She has been a long time advocate of solar energy and enthusiastic supporter of community solar.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

Connor Tibke serves as the treasurer for Olympia Community Solar. A graduate of The Evergreen State College, Connor has a BA in public policy and environmental science. He worked as a Legislative staffer for three consecutive sessions in Washington and as a contractor for the Thurston County Economic Development Council\u2019s business survey for the Department of Commerce.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

Adam C. Powers<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Adam C. Powers is a multi-talented African American professional who wears many hats: storyteller, green energy expert, teacher, technologist, artist, botanist, AR & VR developer, and proud father of a seven-year-old son.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

He co-founded Key Tech Labs, a nonprofit aimed at bringing new technologies to underprivileged areas to create self-sustaining communities. For example, they taught youth how to build and install a Farmbot (an open-source CNC machine for automated gardening) at a local middle school. In 2018, Adam started his solar career at Omnidian, where he served as a Technical Support Specialist and later co-founded the Civic Action Committee to address energy poverty issues in the black community and promote diversity in the solar industry. He is also a member of B.O.S.S and leads the development of a national solar program.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

Adam serves on the board of Shark Garden, a 1.9-acre urban farm that produces over 2,000 tons of organic food annually and recently added a Solar Micro Grid, in collaboration with Sphere Solar Energy. He envisions a future where people, technology, and the environment coexist in harmony, and encourages practical steps towards this goal.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Mike, a husband, father, and Eagle Scout, is the Sales Manager and founding owner of MAD Energy NW. He completed his apprenticeship through the Construction Industry Training Council (CITC), a four-year trade school, earning his commercial journeyman’s license in 2011 and Master Journeyman\u2019s certificate four years later. With broad industry knowledge, Mike has shaped MAD Energy NW to specialize in commercial and residential electrical services, with a strong focus on solar energy.<\/strong><\/p>

Committed to developing the next generation of electricians, Mike serves as a CITC board member, mentoring apprentices and ensuring they meet industry standards. He contributes to CITC\u2019s curriculum, policy, and strategic planning while also covering the full cost of CITC training for his company’s apprentices, reinforcing his dedication to a skilled workforce.<\/strong><\/p>

As a board member of Olympia Community Solar, Mike supports policies and projects that expand solar access. Jeff has been the Executive Director at the Olympic Region Clean Air Agency (ORCAA) since February 2022. Prior to that, Jeff spent 14 years as a manager at the Washington Department of Ecology, first in the Air Quality Program and then in the Toxics Cleanup Program.<\/strong><\/p>

Prior to moving to Olympia in 2008, Jeff was an Assistant Director at the Vanderbilt University Center for Teaching, as well as a Lecturer in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, in Nashville, Tennessee.<\/strong><\/p>

Jeff has a Bachelor of Science and a Ph.D. \u2013 both in Chemistry \u2013 from the University of California, San Diego. Jeff loves spending time outdoors, gardening, hiking, kayaking, and camping, and is excited about supporting Olympia Community Solar in its mission to steward an equitable clean energy transition.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
