Commerce <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/content.govdelivery.com\/accounts\/WADOC\/bulletins\/416cada\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">recently announced<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> more than $60 million in funding for nearly 100 projects across Washington state that support solar energy, battery storage, microgrids, and community resilience infrastructure. Olympia Community Solar supported nine of those projects, securing over $3.7 million dollars for 1,077 kW DC of solar energy capacity and 225 kWhs of energy storage for clients across the state.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These projects create energy resilience, reduce energy costs, and some provide emergency backup power capabilities, supporting sustainability efforts within their community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThese awards will advance critical projects that strengthen our state\u2019s energy resiliency and support communities burdened by rising electricity prices,\u201d stated Olympia Community Solar\u2019s Executive Director Mason Rolph. \u201cSupporting these projects aligns with our nonprofit\u2019s mission to steward an equitable and accessible clean energy transition\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the recent announcement Commerce Interim Director Sarah Clifthorne said the statewide investments demonstrate Commerce\u2019s commitment to helping projects move quickly from concept to construction while making clean energy more affordable and communities more resilient.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The projects are supported with funding from Washington\u2019s Climate Commitment Act. The CCA supports Washington\u2019s climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health.
