What is Solarize Walla Walla?

Solarize is a nonprofit-sponsored solar energy group purchasing model used to reduce costs and simplify the solar installation process. In 2024, this program is available to residents in Walla Walla Valley, WA.

Sustainable Living Center was established in July 2005, with a grant from Washington State Department of Ecology. After operating as a 2-day renewable energy festival from 2002 to 2005, the organization determined that a year-round facility was needed to serve the region's growing interest in renewable energy conservation, green building, waste reduction, and other topics related to sustainability.
The SLC has established a reputation in the Walla Walla region as the clearinghouse for information and resources for making more sustainable lifestyle decisions. With funding from government and private sources, we maintain five successful programs that help us achieve our mission of conserving resources for the future, through encouraging and facilitating sustainable living practices in our community!

Thanks to a generous private donor, the Sustainable Living Center is, in addition to the benefits of participating in Solarize, pleased to offer a limited number of $900 rebates for solar installations in the Walla Walla Valley.

Why join Solarize 2024?

First, thank you for doing this. I’ve been interested in solar for a long time but was absolutely overwhelmed by the amount of information online and having to set up a loan. I honestly may not have made the switch to solar if I hadn’t discovered this program. This streamlined everything and I felt like I was in good hands.

This was a great program. I really appreciated having solar available at a lower cost with an already vetted provider.

Interest in Solar is at an All-Time High

That's why the Solarize program exists to secure discounted prices, vetted installers, and an easy customer experience all at once! In preparation for Solarize 2024, Olympia Community Solar held a competitive bidding process to secure solar installers, and partnerships with local financial institutions for optional financing. Our team vetted and negotiated special pricing with our installer partners and developed educational materials and seminars. Solarize is helping to make the Solar purchasing experience simple, secure, and affordable!
