Solar Ribbon Cutting at the Colonial Residence at Stillwaters
November 7 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Free
Episcopal Retirement Community (ERC) and project partners are thrilled to announce the completed installation of a 152 kW solar power system on the rooftop of Colonial Residence.
This project, made possible through the collective efforts of ERC staff, the WA Department of Commerce Clean Energy Program, South Sound Solar, and Olympia Community Solar, reduces operating costs and generates clean electricity for Colonial Residence. The endeavor allows ERC to reinvest savings into resident programs, facility maintenance, and affordable rent stability. This ceremony and workshop is a great opportunity to learn more about the benefits of solar, meet the individuals and organizations that have made this project a reality, and celebrate ERC’s commitment to caring for people and the planet.
The program will include:
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony (11:00am) with words of acknowledgement from key project partners:
- Alicia Moir, Episcopal Retirement Community Administrator
- Hattie Haffner, South Sound Solar President
- Mason Rolph, Olympia Community Solar Executive Director
Drinks and refreshments provided.
Educational workshop (12:00pm)
Casey Figgins and Mason Rolph will provide a presentation featuring information about the project, how solar power works, and how people interested in solar can learn more.
Please RSVP to ensure we have enough refreshments and seating for all attendees.
