Solarize Supports Hundreds of South Sound Homeowners to install solar.

In 2021, Olympia Community Solar ran its first Solarize campaign. Residents and businesses of Thurston, Mason, Pierce, and Lewis Counties were able to access solar at prices below market rates, thanks to the Solarize group-purchasing program. We were also able to ensure that residents were paired with vetted, reliable installers, and that the solar panels and other equipment used were of high quality. In the first year of the program we supported 129 Thurston County homes and businesses to install solar  energy!

Since then, Solarize has grown each year. In 2022 we expanded to include Pierce County, and were able to support 70 residential solar installations across our service areas for a total of roughly 578 kW of solar installed.

In 2023 we began a partnership with Skagit Valley Clean Energy Alliance, our first community organization partnership to  help us lead the charge on Solarize in Skagit County. In total that year we helped 46 homes and businesses install clean energy.

To date, Solarize has assisted 245 homes and businesses to get discounted, reliable solar installed across the three years of the program!

What Is Solarize?

Solarize is a group purchasing model used throughout the country to reduce costs and simplify the solar installation process.

Combining demand saves local solar installers time and energy, and allows them to purchase equipment in bulk - saving you money.
